Armagh Planetarium
can offer groups a variety of interactive
space science shows which are designed to
stimulate and educate in a fun and light-hearted
way.
WHAT
DO CHILDREN LEARN IN THE ROCKET AND ROBOT
SHOW?
Participants
are taken on a journey from the invention
of the rocket in China up to the modern space
programme. We show the audience how they can
make their own chemically powered rockets
using common household ingredients and introduce
them to the concept of forces and motion.
Children are actively encouraged to join in
and help the demonstrators as they conduct
science experiments to unravel the mysteries
of rocket power.
